Paithani uses the ancient techniques of the tapestry where multiple threads of different colours along with gold and silver threads are woven together to form a graceful and fascinating piece of silk. Delicate designs on pallu and border is a speciality of Paithani Sarees. Motifs on pallu are generally peacock, lotus, mango and other designs.

The main raw material used for Paithani is Silk yarn, Zari and colours. Preferably Filiature silk is used as warp and sidlaghatta or charakha silk is used as weft. A typical Paithani is heavyweight, bright colours, butti with pallov and solid zari border.

Royalty among other sarees, Paithani sarees hold a special place in the wardrobe of women of all ages. It would only be a matter of pride for any woman to have such an amazing kind of a saree which has a royal background in her collection of sarees.
